Nominations for Forbes’ 2019 30 Under 30 list are open.
For the eighth year straight, Forbes is looking for the best and boldest young leaders, creators and thinkers to join our dynamic Under 30 community. Founders, funders, philanthropists, foodies, filmmakers, fashionistas—they’re all here. It’s an impressive club. Past honorees include Spotify’s Daniel Ek, musician Kendrick Lamar, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Glossier’s Emily Weiss, Instagram’s Kevin Systrom, model Karlie Kloss, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. This December, we’ll welcome to this dynamic group 600 new trailblazers from across 20 diverse fields. With an acceptance rate below 4%, competition is intense.

Here’s some helpful information about the process.
What’s the age cut off?
To be eligible for the 2019 Under 30 List, a nominee must be 29 or younger on December 31, 2018 (Born in 1989 or later).
Which countries and regions are eligible. Forbes creates three Under 30 Lists (U.S., Asia, Europe). We are currently opening nominations for both our U.S. and Europe Lists. Citizenship does not matter, instead please apply to the region where the nominees (and their business) are most prominent.
How does Forbes create the Under 30 list?
It’s a three-step process. Through open nominations, recommendations by respected investors, executives, entrepreneurs, and the reporting by the Forbes edit team, we assemble thousands of candidates across 20 categories. Next, Forbes staff picks around 60 finalists for each field. Finally, independent industry legends (think Mark Benioff, Aileen Lee, David Chang, Jennifer Hyman, Steve Balmer, Phil Knight) select the final 30 in each category.
What are the 20 categories?
What if a company or organization has more than one founder?
You and your cofounders/business partners can be jointly named 30 Under 30s. When nominating, be sure to include all names of your cofounders or partners who are under 30 years old. If you don’t, we may not consider them. Note, if they’ve aged out, they won’t be eligible, but you still are.
